These are made by the Bena Bena people of the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea

Medically prepared human disarticulated skull bones The belt is 58cm longThese bones were part of a collection from a medical school museum. This is a collection of disarticulated skull bones comprising of the frontal, two parietals (both left) and a sphenoid. The parietals still have the medical school collection number on them. All the bones have a very pale white colour which would suggest that they were prepared in the second half of the last century.
